A FEW GOOD REASONS TO VISIT THE ALGARVE
The Algarve has long been one of the most favorite European holiday destinations. With its long un -crowded beaches and wonderful golf courses.
Most of the popular resorts were fishing villages and still retain their charm with narrow winding streets and white washed houses. The beaches stretch from Cape st Vincent to Villa Real on the Spanish boarder. When you have had enough of beaches, there are many interesting places to visit. Fifteen minutes into the country side brings you to the old Portuguese villages with historic churches, cooperative olive presses and communal wash houses, (still used). There is a church full of old bones near Faro and a few archaeological digs going on. Have lunch on the harbor at Vilamoura if you are interested in boats large and very large.
On the modern side there are hyper markets with cinemas and bowling allies. Night life is varied and plentiful, from night clubs to singing and dancing in the squares or just listening to music.
